Recipe: Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

This recipe was given to one of our Board Members more than 30 years ago. Hope you enjoy!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups flour
1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1 Teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup water
Heaping 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips. Add up to ½ cup if you want more chocolate.

Directions:
Place first nine ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stirring gently until all ingredients are incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into greased 8” x 4” loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 70 minutes. Cool on wire rack before removing from pan.

You can double the recipe to make two loaves at once.
